Wind Chill Warning. Gusty winds and bitter cold temperatures return. A wind chill warning remains in effect until noon Wednesday 1-29-14.
National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning:
Gusty wind and bitterly cold temperatures return...
An artic high pressure system will build across Central Indiana today. The arctic air will once again bring below normal temperatures and wind chills to Central Indiana with the coldest expected to be overnight tonight and Tuesday morning. Overnight lows then will be from 4 below zero across Central Indiana to near 20 below across North Central Indiana. Wind chills around 15 degrees below in the South to around 30 degrees below in the Central and North are expected.
A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and strong winds will create dangerously low wind chill values. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken.
