National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning today and tonight. Temperatures are expected to drop below 32 for more than 4 hours on Sullivan's Island today and tonight, Tuesday January 28, 2014.
*A SIGNIFICANT ICE STORM IS EXPECTED*
Please take precautions now to protect any exposed water pipes from the freezing temperatures. When temps are foretasted to be below 32 degrees for more than four hours, SIWS recommends letting a couple cold water faucets run slightly. If your hot water heating source is located outside or in a non heated area then let a hot water faucet run as well. Keeping water moving inside the pipes will help prevent water lines from freezing.
