The Habersham County Offices are going to be closed due to snow occurring in South Habersham County beginning at 1:00 PM today, Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Currently, the weather service is predicting up to 2 inches of snow for are area. If the prediction is accurate we may also close tomorrow. Please stay tuned to the radio and check the Habersham County website for updates. For administrative personnel (non-emergency), the hours the county offices were closed will be paid as administrative leave in order to keep employee’s pay whole for the week.
Please keep in mind that more than one half (50%) of county employees are public safety or other emergency service personnel and who are required to be in attendance during these weather events.
