Arrest made in child porn case 
A months-long joint investigation by Polk County Sheriff’s Investigators and agents with Homeland Security ended with the arrest of a Columbus man accused of possessing images and videos of child pornography. Investigators executed a search warrant at the home were investigators seized computers, several laptops and other computer equipment. Jonathan Michael Whisnant, 41, was booked into the Polk County Jail about 2:00 p.m. after he was arrested by Anderson County, SC sheriff's deputies on Monday.
Mr. Whisnant has been charged with Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
He was being held on a $40,000 secured bond and has a first appearance in court on the February 5th.
