PRESS RELEASE: Warsaw Narcotics Officers Arrest Several for Meth

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 29, 2014

On Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at approximately 3:30 p.m., undercover Warsaw narcotics officers performed a buy/bust after receiving a tip of Meth activity. Warsaw Police stopped the suspect vehicle near Winona Avenue and Lake Street immediately following the purchase of Methamphetamine.
Taken into custody for class B felony Dealing Methamphetamine, was 34 year old, Chad Goble, of Mentone, IN., and 31 year old, George Prater, of Akron, IN. Both are being held at the Kosciusko County Jail with no bond. Also in the vehicle was Barbara Fields, 21 years old, of Akron, IN. She was booked into the jail for a misdemeanor charge of Visiting a Common Nuisance.
Another arrest early Tuesday morning led narcotics officers to perform a search warrant on a vehicle. Narcotics officers were made aware of the location of 41 year old, Roger Runyon, of South Bend, IN., and verified an arrest warrant for Runyon stemming from an October 2013 Meth lab on Center Street in Warsaw. Officers were also aware that Runyon was a habitual traffic violator and an Indiana State Police trooper made a traffic stop on Runyon’s vehicle. At the time of his arrest, Runyon had a white powdery substance on him that tested positive for Meth. The search warrant produced finished Methamphetamine, spent Meth labs, and precursors used in the manufacture of Meth.
Runyon was initially booked on the warrant and for being a Habitual Traffic Offender. Narcotic officers also filed class B felony charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine. He is being held at the Kosciusko County Jail with no bond.
Warsaw Narcotics officers were assisted by the Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
