Steuben remains at yellow travel advisory
The Steuben County Commissioners in cooperation with the Sheriff, Steuben County Highway and the Steuben County Emergency Management will continue with a Snow ADVISORY Level for Steuben County into tomorrow (Thursday January 30th). Conditions will be evaluated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday and a status update will be released shortly thereafter. Road conditions in the southeast portion of Steuben County remain a challenge for highway crews in removing heavily packed snow from the roadways. Please drive slower than normal, give yourself plenty of travel time and plenty of stopping distance between other vehicles and at intersections. County highway continues to reported that county roads are now open however some have large snow banks and will be narrow in places. Pay loader removal of snow in these areas are expected to continue throughout the day Wednesday and into Thursday. Please be alert for highway snow removal equipment when driving.

County offices including the court house are resumeing regular business hours.
