Steuben remaining at yellow travel advisory into Friday
The Steuben County Commissioners in cooperation with the Sheriff, Steuben County Highway and the Steuben County Emergency Management will continue with a Snow ADVISORY Level for Steuben County into tomorrow (Friday January 31st). Conditions will be evaluated again at 1:00 P.M. Friday and a status update will be released shortly thereafter. Road conditions in portions of the county remain at one lane however passable. Please drive slower than normal, give yourself plenty of travel time and plenty of stopping distance between other vehicles and at intersections. Large snow banks reduce visibility at intersections and driveways. Pay loader removal of snow is continuing throughout the day Thursday and into Friday. Please be alert for highway snow removal equipment when driving.
Regular media outlets plus the Sheriff Facebook page, www.steubensheriff.com and Nixle text alerts will be used to alert everyone of any updates.
County offices including the court house are resuming regular business hours.
