La Mirada - Residential Burglars Arrested
On Thursday, January 30, 2014 at approximately 12:45 pm, an alert citizen reported suspicious persons in a neighbor’s yard on the 15300 block of Stanton Avenue in La Mirada. Highly trained and skilled deputies responded and contained the area where the suspects were last seen fleeing on foot in the neighborhood. Ultimately, the burglars were apprehended and taken into custody. Two male juvenile suspects were charged with burglary and booked at Norwalk Station.
Stolen property from the burglarized residence was recovered and returned to the owner. The arrest of these individuals is an example of public participation and partnership with the Sheriff’s Department in stopping criminal activity within the community. Without the help of vigilant neighbors willing to contact law enforcement, the apprehension of these burglars would have been greatly reduced.
The Sheriff's Department encourages citizen to report suspicious activity. Anyone with information involving crimes is urged to contact law enforcement.
