The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow from 6PM Friday until 6AM Saturday. Be aware that another system will enter our area early next week that may bring additional snowfall, wind and extremely cold temperatures.
Be prepared at home, at work and on the road by having plenty of necessary supplies on hand. Travel is discouraged.
If you must travel, have an emergency kit in your car, a full tank of fuel, a charged cell phone and charger as well as warm clothing, food and water with you on your trip.

* TIMING...LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL MOVE INTO NORTH CENTRAL
KANSAS TONIGHT AND SPREAD INTO EASTERN KANSAS OVERNIGHT. THIS
SNOW WILL DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.
* TOTAL SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW
ACCUMULATION EXPECTED...WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 4 TO 5 INCHES
POSSIBLE ACROSS EXTREME NORTHEAST KANSAS.
* WINDS...MOTORISTS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO CHANGING WEATHER
