Southern Pines Police Department Announces:
Employee of the Quarter Award
for the 4th Quarter of - 2013
The Southern Pines Police Department is pleased to announce the Employee of the Quarter for the 4th Quarter of 2013. The Employee of the Quarter Award recognizes police department employees who have provided exemplary service to the community or performed in a manner worthy of recognition. These awards are the result of a peer nomination and action by the supervisory and command staff of the Southern Pines Police Department.
Officer Jason Caulder, along with his K-9 partner Olaf are the recipients of the Employee of the Quarter award for the 4th Quarter of 2013. Officer Caulder has been selected due to his professional actions which included multiple drug investigations which lead not only to the recovery of illegal narcotics but also in the recovery of three handguns. Additionally, Officer Caulder was instrumental in recovering several items of stolen property. Officer Caulder has served as a role model for new officers in the department which was evident when a coworker nominated Officer Caulder for this award not only for his criminal investigation skills, but also recognizing his service to others both inside and outside the department. In a letter announcing the award, Chief Temme stated:
“You have been selected as the Employee of the Quarter for the 4th Quarter of 2013. It is recognition of your performance, and that of your K-9 partner Olaf in carrying out your duties. It is also indicative of the effort you both put forth on a daily basis to serve the community and support our mission to make a difference in the lives of others.”
The Southern Pines Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Jason Caulder and his K-9 partner Olaf with this award. They represent the professionalism and dedication to the community which is indicative of all members of the Southern Pines Police Department.
