A snow emergency declaration is in effect for Macungie from midnight tonight until 3 PM tomorrow (Wednesday) due to the forecast of a possible 6 inches of new snow. Also forecast is a combination of sleet, ice and freezing rain in this latest weather event. Residents are reminded to have their vehicles removed from snow emergency routes. Due to the already restricted travel lanes from yesterdays snowfall, the potential exists for vehicles parked in violation to be towed. Please exercise extreme caution if you must drive during this event as roads are predicted to be treacherous.
