Traffic Advisory Alert for 2/5/14 in Edgewater, Riva, & Davidsonville due to large funeral. Expect delays. 
On Wednesday, February 5, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m., motorists should be prepared for traffic delays on Solomons Island Road (MD Route 2), Pike Ridge Road and Central Ave (MD Route 214).
The potential traffic delays are related to a funeral for Sergeant Clinton Holtz of the United States Capitol Police Department. Sergeant Holtz died in the line of duty on January 17, 2014, and the large funeral will impact traffic in the area. The funeral and procession may affect motorists on the following roadways:
1. Solomons Island Road between Virginia Avenue and Pike Ridge Road
2. Pike Ridge Road between Solomons Island Road and Central Avenue
3. Central Avenue between Pike Ridge Road and Riva Road
There will be marked Anne Arundel County Police vehicles present during the event and assisting with traffic control along the route. During this event, motorists may expect traffic delays along the route as well as the adjacent roadways.
