Emergency Declaration with "Warning Level" travel advisory implemented at 7pm. Snow and blowing snow a safety issue.
In preparation for the forecast of 5-8 inches of accumulating snow, combined with winds of 15-25 mph gusting to 30 mph, causing blowing and drifting on roads, the Marshall County Board of Commissioners and have implemented an emergency declaration that includes a "Warning Level" travel advisory. The emergency declaration will go into place beginning at 7:00pm tonight in order to give citizens, schools, businesses, and other organizations an opportunity to implement their emergency plans.Currently the travel advisory is for the unincorporated areas of the county, and the Town of Culver. Road conditions will be evaluated early in the morning on Wednesday to determine what, if any, action should be taken.
For your safety, we are asking all citizens to comply with the necessary emergency measures, and to cooperate fully with public officials.
Please do not try to drive on roads that are drifted and impassable.
