Barricaded Felony Suspect Arrested on January 31, 2014 for Felony Narcotics and Weapons Charges in Pico Rivera. 
On January 31, 2014, at approximately 6:00 AM, Pico Rivera Station Vandalism Enforcement Team (VET) along with Problem Specific Policing Team (PSP) and Operation Safe Streets (OSS) served a search warrant at the 4800 block of Grape Street, Pico Rivera. At the location, deputies found two handguns and narcotics belonging to the suspect. The suspect also had a $250,000.00 warrant for Burglary, Cruelty to a Child Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury or Death and Terrorist Threats.
Upon further investigation, the deputies were directed to another residence at 8417 Olympic Bl., Pico Rivera. Detective personnel conducted an investigation and determined the suspect was barricaded inside the residence.
Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) responded to the location and determined the suspect was hiding in the attic of the location. SEB personnel took the suspect, 35-year-old Steve Guardian, into custody. Suspect Guardian was booked at Pico Rivera Station where 6 additional felony violations related to narcotics and weapons were added. He is being held on $550,000.00 bail.
There were no injuries to deputy personnel or the suspect.
