Police Investigate Commercial Burglaries
On January 28, 2014 at approximately 4:23 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Pacheco Boulevard in response to an alarm at a local business. Upon their arrival officers discovered the front glass door to the business broken.
Officers reviewed video surveillance with the business owner. The video showed a heavy set person wearing red and gray clothing with a baseball cap turned backwards enter the business and leave with items. An inventory showed that approximately 10 packs of cigarettes and two bottles of liquor were taken in the burglary.
After viewing the surveillance footage, Officer Westbrook began searching the area for the suspect. Officer Westbrook contacted 22-year-old Cynthia Aguirre, who fit the suspect’s description. Aguirre was positively identified from video surveillance and arrested for burglary.
On January 29, 2014 at approximately 4:46 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at a business in the 900 block of West Pacheco Boulevard. Officers arrived and discovered the businesses front window broken. The suspect in this burglary took an estimated 80 packs of cigarettes and fled the area.
The suspect was believed to have fled the area, heading east on Hawthorne Street.
