RESURFACING PROJECT by AL Dept. of Transportation (ALDOT) ON SR-180 (Canal Road) UNDERWAY 
An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on SR-180 from .28 miles west of Foley Beach Express to east of SR-161 in Baldwin County is scheduled to began the week of January 27, 2014. Nighttime lane closures begin March 1.
Temporary traffic signs and erosion control items on the 3.305 mile construction area are slated to be installed this week.
After March 1 all lane closures will be during nighttime hours from 8 pm-6 am Sunday-Thursday. The project is expected to be completed by May 1.
ALDOT awarded the contract to Hosea O. Weaver and Sons, Inc. of Mobile after certifying its $1,359,391.94 bid was the lowest that met contract requirements.
