Raccoon test positive for rabies in City.
On Friday January 31, 2014 the Bordentown City Police Department responded to Carpenter Street for a report of a Raccoon not acting correctly. Officers were informed that the raccoon had been aggressive towards a resident. Subsequently, the officers located the raccoon and it was put down. The raccoon was sent to the county for testing and at which time it tested positive for rabies. Residents are asked to take extreme caution when dealing with any wild animals and to report any suspicious activities to the Police Department.
