ARREST FOR RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

On February 12, 2014 the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to the 17300 block of Walnut regarding a residential burglary which had just occurred. The victim had returned home during which time she observed the male suspect inside her attached garage. The suspect fled in a white Lexus SUV, which was observed by a witness. The witness was able to provide a vehicle description as well as the vehicle’s license plate number. Investigation revealed the suspect had entered the residence from an unlocked side garage door and gained access to the interior of the home. Once inside the suspect ransacked various rooms and removed a safe, US currency, and miscellaneous jewelry.

The vehicle was later located in the same neighborhood and a stop was conducted. Hammoudeh Elnajjar (6-8-87) from Fountain Valley was detained and subsequently arrested for residential burglary. Elnajjar was booked into the Orange County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000.
