On February 10, 2014 at 7:00 pm Police Officer Mai of the Santa Rosa Junior College Police Department stopped a vehicle on Burbank Circle for driving the wrong way on a one way street and having expired vehicle registration.
The driver told Officer Mai he did not have his driver’s license in his possession. While speaking to Officer Mai, the driver spelled his last name two different ways and said he was not sure what his birthday was.
Officer Mai found paperwork in the car and was able to determine the driver was Yacob Dain, 28 from Santa Rosa. Dain had a felony warrant for violation of parole. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded three pounds of processed marijuana.
Dain was arrested for the outstanding parole warrant, possession of marijuana, and giving false information to a police officer. Dain was booked into Sonoma County Jail where he is being held without bail.
