The Port Neches Police Department has responded to several home and vehicle burglaries within the last few days. On this date officers investigated the burglary of a home in the 2000 blk of 9th. st. The suspect entered the unlocked home, while the victim was asleep, and took a TV, wallet, jewelry and also burglarized the victim's vehicle. There was an additional auto burglary in the same block. Officers recovered the victims' identification from a dumpster at 9th and Magnolia. The burglary occurred sometime between midnight and 4:00am.
On Monday at 2:50am officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 2600blk of Riveroaks. The homeowner spotted a subject trying to enter his garage. He confronted him and the suspect fled the area.
Witnesses in all the burglaries have reported either seeing the suspect or a suspicious suspect in the area at the time of the incidents. He is being described as a white male, 6' to 6' 1", slim to medium build and each time wearing a camouflage hoodie.
