Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult. The victim, with fatal gunshot wounds, was transported to the hospital and dropped off by person(s) unknown.

Deputies responding to reports of gunshots in the 13400 block of Bona Vista Lane, La Mirada, did not find any victims at the location. Although a firearm and other evidence was discovered there, it is not certain if the victim, who was dropped at the hospital, was shot at that location.

The investigation is on-going to determine if the two incidents are related.
