BANDS OF SNOW THIS AFTERNOON.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN
EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...
FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
If you must travel today, leave extra time to reach your destination, wear your seatbelt, and leave plenty of room between you and other vehicles. snow is expected to fall at the rate of 2-3 inches per hour. This will make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for snow plow operators to keep up with the snow. Please give snow plows plenty of room to complete their work. If the snow storm materializes as expected it is likely that snow parking restrictions will be needed. It is recommended that you remove your vehicles from the roadways.
