In 2013 the Village of Johnsburg enacted an ordinance making all parks smoke and tobacco free. As part of the public information campaign the village decided to hold a contest among school district resident's into the design of the official sign. The village has received numerous entries and is now asking for your help in deciding on the sign to be used. Anyone interested in voting for our new sign may go to the village's website and vote electronically or may appear in person at the Village Hall, 1515 W. Channel Beach Ave., where the entries are on display with ballots.

The winning sign will be utilized on dozens of signs at and within all parks operated by the Village. Voting ends on the 28th of February. The winning entry will be unveiled on the 15th of March at the Johnsburg Area Business Association Expo which is held at the Johnsburg High School.
