The Whitehall Department of Public Works and Police Department are urging you to ensure hydrants near your home are clear of snow!

Support your local Fire Department and ensure they are able to access hydrants near your residence in case of an emergency! Hydrants need to be cleared of snow, approximately 3 feet around the entire hydrant.

This simple act helps firefighters find the hydrants faster and cuts down on the time that otherwise would be required to clear the hydrant first in the event of a fire. In an emergency... seconds and minutes count!
