Detectives from Operation Safe Streets Bureau – Lakewood Team of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department served a narcotics search warrant early this morning, February 19, on the 4100 block of East 10th Street, Long Beach. During the execution of the warrant, four individuals exited the building and attempted to elude deputies by climbing onto the roof of the location.
Deputies contained the area around the location and all four individuals complied with orders to surrender. Three of the individuals were detained and later released without incident. However, 23-year-old, Long Beach resident, David Penaloza, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Specified Controlled Substance While Armed with a Firearm and Possession For Sales; he is being held in lieu of $80,000.00 bail.
