Road Advisory

Due to the extreme weather change from cold to warm and rainy we have received several calls regarding road conditions the following is a list of issues citizens need to be aware of and drive accordingly.
1) The overpasses of I-94 and I-275 which include Rawsonville Rd, Belleville Rd, and Haggerty Rd all over I-94 and Hannon Rd over i-275, are all experiencing the expansion joints raising up causing citizen concerns. It should be noted the joints are doing their job and are stopping the roads from breaking. Wayne County Roads are aware of the raised joints and advised they are not road hazards they should be just a bump in the road.
2) Side roads are experiencing slushy, icy, and muddy conditions causing slippery roads. DRIVE CAREFULLY
3) Some roads are experiencing larger then normal potholes that are filled with water and look like small puddles. DRIVE CAREFULLY
4) The I-94 S. Service Drive between Haggerty and Belleville Rd is covered in slush that is covering potholes and broken asphalt that could damage vehicles. DRIVE CAREFULLY and proceed slowly through this area.
