Teens Take Note: Police Explorer Open House Monday; Youth’s look at life behind the badge
Franklin, TN – The Franklin Police Department Explorer Program is partnering with ATF, DEA, FBI, Secret Service, TN Bomb & Arson, TBI, and THP to host an open house for youth interested in a career in law enforcement.

Franklin Police Explorers are community youth who want to be personally involved in public service. The program strives to strengthen relationships between teens, the community, and law enforcement – acquainting young people with the goals and objectives of a progressive police department serving a growing and dynamic city.
Franklin Police Explorer candidates must:
• Be a resident of Williamson County;
• Be between 14 and 17 years of age;
• Maintain a “C” or better average;
• Have no serious arrest record;
• Pass a background investigation
Franklin Police Explorers receive special training from police officers, ride with and assist police officers, and participate in community and crime-prevention programs. Parents are welcome to attend Monday’s meeting with their children. Pizza will be served to attendees starting at 5:30.
