Announces Arrest for:
Trafficking Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Place for Controlled Substance, and Felony Possession of Marijuana
The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Son Manh Ngo, 30 years of age, of Raleigh, North Carolina on the above charges. This arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Patrol and Investigation Divisions from the Southern Pines Police Department which resulted in the seizure of 42.5 lbs. of Marijuana. During this investigation, Son Manh Ngo was identified as the customer who had rented a storage unit located at 160D Pinehurst Avenue, Southern Pines where the marijuana was seized from. Upon arrest, $806 in U.S. currency was seized from Mr. Ngo. Mr. Son Manh Ngo was arrested on February 20, 2014.
Son Manh Ngo appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center under $200,000.00 secured bond pending hearing on March 16, 2014 in Moore County District Court.
