Los Angeles County Sheriff Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at approximately 10:00 pm. 

Detectives learned Deputies from the Century Sheriff's Station responded to the 8700 Block of Holmes Avenue, in the Unincorporated Area of Los Angeles after receiving an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call at the location. Detectives responded to the location and learned that a male, black, adult had been shot once in the upper torso. 

The victim was transported to St. Francis Medical Center, 3630 East Imperial Highway, Lynwood, where he was pronounced dead. 

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
