On Saturday October 26, 2013, at approximately 1:55 am, the Campbell Police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of 201 Orchard City Dr. (‘The Spot’ nightclub).
Upon arrival, Officers found a 33 year old male suffering from a single gun shot wound. The victim, who was an employee of ‘The Spot’, was transported to the hospital and has since recovered from his injuries.
Campbell Police Investigators obtained surveillance footage from inside ‘The Spot’ that depicted the suspects involved in this incident. The video was distributed to the media and received over 11,000 views on the Campbell Police Department YouTube channel.
Investigators have continued following up on leads regarding the shooting and the identity of the suspects. On 02/27/14, Campbell Police Detectives, with the assistance of the Gilroy Police Department and Morgan Hill Police Department executed three search warrants (two in Morgan Hill and one in Gilroy).
Two of the subjects that were identified as suspects in the shooting were located at their homes and placed under arrest on attempted homicide warrants. A third suspect, who was in custody at the Elmwood Correctional Facility on other charges, was also arrested on an attempted homicide warrant.
The three suspects have been identified as:
Jose Torres, 23 years of Morgan Hill
Rajpreet Kahlon, 21 years of Morgan Hill
John Ybarra, 22 years of Gilroy
