Please Remove Cars from Streets to Help Snow Removal Operations during Winter Storm
With a winter weather storm expected this weekend, the City of St. Peters reminds residents that they can help the City’s snow removal efforts by parking cars off the street whenever possible.
The City’s Snow Removal Team can clear snow more quickly and place de-icing chemicals more evenly when cars and other obstructions are removed from the road. Please park cars and place solid waste containers on your driveway, rather than on the street, while snow removal operations are taking place.
Due to the forecast, St. Peters’ Earth Centre composting facility will not open for product sales on Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2, 2014, and Earth Centre will not accept yard waste on Sunday, March 2.
St. Peters residents may report snow-related concerns by calling the St. Peters Snow Line at 636.477.6600, ext. 1738. If there is no answer, leave a detailed message. The snow line is checked regularly. If you have an emergency situation, please call 911.
Check the City of St. Peters website at www.stpetersmo.net for winter weather updates. To sign up for urgent texts and/or email alerts, click “Emergency Notifications Sign Up” on the left-hand side of the website’s home page.
The St. Peters Rec-Plex has a new Winter Weather Hotline that will be updated if there are any program cancellations or changes in the facility’s hours of operation. Call 636.939.2386, ext. 1604, to check if severe winter weather has affected Rec-Plex hours of operation, classes, programs or other services.
