Advisory
Freezing Water Pipes and Service Lines
City Of Rockford is advising city residents to – start running your tap water, even just a little bit, if you’re worried about freezing pipe lines. Letting a pencil-size stream of water run continuously is not a guarantee that your lines or city water mains won’t freeze, but it is the best possible measure. At a minimum let your water run 3-5 minutes every 6-8 hours, this will help reduce the chance of it happening.
Sincerely,
