Details: The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department is investigating a report of an armed robbery that occured on March 4, 2014 at approximately 11:00pm at the Shell Gas Station Mart located at 190 Innis Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
A male suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the store cashier. The cashier complied and the suspect subsequently left the store on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. There were no injuries reported during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'0' tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and a mask covering his face.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Detective Division is investigating a prior armed robbery that took place at this store on January 10, 2014 at approximately 1:19am.
