On March 6, 2014, Detectives from Altadena Sheriff's Station arrested a juvenile for burglary and seized an indoor marijuana grow in the 2400 block of Glen Canyon Road. The arrest followed a set of residential burglaries in the 1900 block of Harding Avenue, Altadena. Detectives identified the subject from evidence found at one of the thefts. The lead investigator, Detective David Gaisford, obtained a search warrant for the residence on Glen Canyon Road. During a search of the residence, detectives located an indoor marijuana grow in a detached garage at the rear of the property. The subject was arrested for two counts of burglary. Detectives booked the subject at Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station and seized the marijuana as evidence.
Burglaries in Altadena are currently down 12% from the same period last year, while thefts are down 4%.
