(Update) Shooting Death Investigation, 8700 Blk Bandera St, Uninc Los Angeles – Century Station #LASD

On Friday, March 7, 2014, at 12:11 a.m., deputies from Century Sheriff's Station, responded to a call of a "gunshot victim" in the 8700 block of Bandera Street, unincorporated Los Angeles. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 25 year-old male lying in the street suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to witnesses, the victim was standing on the sidewalk when two cars drove up and stopped. One of the suspects from inside the car asked the victim where he was from and started shooting at him. The suspects then drove off in an unknown direction.

The victim is a member of a local street gang and the shooting is believed to be gang- related.

The murder weapon, suspect and vehicle are still outstanding at this time.
