Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult that occurred at approximately 10:43 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2014, in the 1100 block of West 98th Street, unincorporated Los Angeles.

Detectives learned that deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of a person dead at the residential location. Upon their arrival, deputies saw that the house appeared to have been ransacked and the victim, a 67 year-old male, was lying on the floor inside the residence.  It appeared that the victim may have been in a fight or struggle with the suspect and the victim may have been strangled. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The investigation is on-going.  There is no further information at this time.
