A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Wednesday morning through Thursday morning for heavy snow and sleet with snow and sleet accumulation of 6 to 14 inches.
Snow will begin during the day on Wednesday and become heavy Wednesday afternoon and evening with a period of sleet is also possible Wednesday evening and a change to rain is possible along the coast. Precipitation will become all snow again early Thursday morning and come to an end during the day Thursday.
Heavy snow will cause roads to become snow covered and slippery.
Northeast winds from 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and temperatures starting out near freezing but falling through the 20s Wednesday night and staying cold Thursday.
