On 3-11-14, the Woodstown Police Department and the Woodstown Borough Council recognized Patrolman Kevin O’Hara as Woodstown’s 2013 Police Officer of the Year. Woodstown hired Kevin on 11-1-2011. During the year of 2013, Kevin excelled in the areas of traffic law enforcement, criminal enforcement, municipal ordinance enforcement and community outreach amongst the residents of Woodstown Borough. Kevin has received a number of commendations and is the recipient of a lifesavings ribbon, from the Salem County Chief’s Association. His supervisor, Sgt. Brian Zilinski, nominated Kevin for this prestigious award. Sgt. Brian Zilinski has stated that, “Kevin has earned the respect of his community, supervisors and peers.” Public Safety Director Simmermon has stated that, “The residents of Woodstown Borough are very fortunate to have Patrolman Kevin O’Hara as a pillar of our community.”
