Franklin, TN – Kevin Michael Hardy is in police custody, charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Aggravated Burglary. He was arrested at approximately 1:00 this afternoon after SWAT forced entry to his home at 205 Prospect Avenue in the Westhaven Subdivision. Hardy’s arrest came after Major Crimes Unit Detectives uncovered evidence that he was the suspect in 10 vehicle burglaries and the home burglary that occurred on January 24, 2014. In the home burglary, Hardy entered a Championship Circle home in Westhaven and burglarized it while the family slept inside. Two rifles and a handgun were stolen in this series of burglaries.
At this hour, Hardy is in custody at Franklin Police Headquarters, and detectives remain on scene at his home where a search warrant is being executed. Hardy is a convicted felon with a violent history. Hardy’ booking photo, bond, and court date information will be released as it becomes available, later today.
