Arrest Made, Search Warrant Executed in Westhaven; Resident held on $1 million bond for burglaries he committed in his own neighborhood
Franklin, TN – Kevin Michael Hardy, 38, is in police custody, charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Aggravated Burglary. He was arrested at approximately 1:00 this afternoon after SWAT forced entry to his home at 205 Prospect Avenue in the Westhaven Subdivision. Hardy’s arrest came after Major Crimes Unit Detectives uncovered evidence that he was the suspect in 10 vehicle burglaries and the home burglary that occurred on January 24, 2014. In the home burglary, Hardy entered a Championship Boulevard home in Westhaven and burglarized it as the family slept inside. Two rifles and a handgun were among the items stolen in the burglaries. Detectives also executed a search warrant at Hardy’s home at the time of his arrest.
Hardy is a convicted felon with a violent history. He is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $1 million bond, charged with Auto Burglary and Aggravated (residential) Burglary. Hardy’s first court appearance is set for 03/27/2014 at 1:00 pm.
