In response to resident concerns following a neighborhood chat forum post that a DIRECTV imposter may have been casing an area home, the FPD took a closer look. We followed up with DIRECTV’s Law Enforcement Division and learned that DIRECTV sent a quality assurance worker to the home in the Towne Park area of McKay’s Mill on March 6, 2014 to verify that a recent service upgrade had been done correctly.
Residents can rest assured that, based on our confirmation call with DIRECTV, and our follow-up with the reporting resident, the serviceman was legitimate and not an ill-intentioned imposter.
