Now accepting applications for the 2014 Public Safety Citizens Academy
The City of Maricopa Public Safety Department's are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Public Safety citizens Academy. The 2014 Academy will offer hands-on experience in traffic enforcement, fire simulations, and emergency medical services taught by Maricopa’s own police officers and firefighters. The Academy is now accepting applications from local businesses and members of the community interested in learning the daily roles and responsibilities of the members of the fire and police departments.
The eight week course begins Wednesday April 2nd with the final class on May 21st 2014. Classes will be held at Fire Station-575 located @ 45695 W. Edison Rd from 6:30-8:30pm. Space is limited and the class is only open to 20 participants, selection is a first come basis and will require a background check for acceptance. Act now to save your spot!
Interested members can submit applications to the Maricopa Police Department in person or by mail attention: Lieutenant Richard Aguirre.
