On Sunday at approximately 5:20 p.m., Montclair Police Officers responded toTarget regarding a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, a male suspect fled the store through a fire exit with two flat screen televisions. He ran to a waiting vehicle driven by 28-year-old Gabrielle Wines. The suspect vehicle fled southbound Central Avenue and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit, which lasted less than three minutes, ended with a traffic collision at the Indian Hill offramp in Claremont that claimed the life of the male suspect who was ejected out of the suspect vehicle. He was later identifed as 39-year-old Robert Joseph Williams of Anaheim. Two other occupants of the vehicle struck by Wines were injured and trasnported to a local hospital.

On Tuesday, the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office reviewed the case and charged Gabrielle Wines with Burglary, Evading a Police Officer Causing Injury or Death, and one count Murder related to the death of her accomplice. Wines pled not guilty to all charges at her arraignment in San Bernardino County Superior Court.
