On Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at approximately 7:18 pm officers were contacted by subjects at 530 Riverside Drive. Officers made contact with juvenile witnesses who stated they were playing in the parking lot and heard a female yelling near the woods behind the building. They stated they saw a w/m subject pull a female in the woods and possibly had a hand gun with him. Suspect is w/m, unkown age, brown hair, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with writing on it possibly saying "Aeropostale" and blue jeans. Victim is said to be a w/f teens age, blonde, straight, shoulder length hair, wearing a pink zip up sweater or sweatshirt.
Officers have conducted a canvas to help identify possible witnesses. Police K-9 has been searching the area with negative results. A Child Is Missing has been contacted and reverse call has been put out in the area with information. Search teams have been assembled, are getting debriefed and will be starting a search in approximately 15 minutes.

Dowagiac Police Department is in charge of the call and are being assisted by several other departments including Cass County Sheriff's Dept, Michigan State Police and Pokagon Tribal Police. Another update should be released around 11 pm.
