Police Look into Reported Threats At Pacheco High School
The Police Department, in conjunction with school district officials, are investigating the possibility of a school threat believed to have originated from an out of state juvenile. Detectives continue to work with school officials but at this point the Department believes no credible threat exists.
Police Detectives are looking into a report that today a student may have overheard others discussing school violence incidents, prompting the student to alert a parent and the school district. School officials initially believed a threat was being reported and launched an investigation.
“The Police Department understands that these topics are very sensitive and we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of students and staff at our local schools. We have allocated additional resources to our school campus; our number one priority is providing a safe learning environment for our children.”
- Gary Brizzee, Chief of Police
