Effective April 21, 2014 the police department will begin issuing warnings to vehicles in violation of the Sweeper Ordinance (258.13). All Residents, Businesses and Visitors are urged to take note of the sweeper times in their area. On May 1, 2014 the police will begin issuing summons for sweeper violations. As a reminder: Vehicles displaying handicapped placards or license plates are NOT exempt from the sweeper ordinance. Also once the sweeper has gone around your vehicle it is a violation of the ordinance, even if the vehicle is moved.
