Attempted Robbery

On April 9, 2014 at approximately 5:00 p.m. a suspect entered the Bubbles Hair Salon located at 2564 Solomons Island Rd Annapolis, MD and announced a robbery.

The suspect had his arm and hand under his shirt implying that he had a weapon although he never showed or said he had one. He repeated his demands, but the receptionist laughed, not believing the suspect was serious. The suspect then created small talk before exiting the building.

A short time later, the receptionist flagged down an officer and reported the incident. She advised the suspect left and went to another nearby business before being picked up by a white Nissan which the witness was able to provide a partial tag.

The Southern District Detective Unit responded and continued to investigate. A suspect was developed and positively identified by witnesses. The suspect was identified Ryan Michael Trembly, 29, of Curtis Bay. Investigators were able to locate Trembly at his mother’s house in the Curtis Bay area.

He was arrested and charged with (1) count of attempted robbery and (1) count of theft less than $1,000.00.
