On April 9, 2014 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Kensington Circle after receiving a report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived at the residence and contacted a 28-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the left arm. Officers learned the victim was stabbed by a family member, 40-year-old Stella Moreno of Los Banos, following an argument.

The victim refused medical treatment and would not cooperate with investigating officers. The weapon used was discarded by a family member prior to the officer’s arrival at the scene.

Moreno was arrested and booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail. Moreno remains in custody in lieu of $30,000.00 bail, charged with assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.
