WRPD SafeAssured Child ID at Centralia Center Saturday Morning

This Saturday, April 12th, 2014, 7:00am-11:00am located inside of the Centralia Center at 220 3rd Ave S. in Wisconsin Rapids and in conjunction with the Child Abuse Prevention Run, your Wisconsin Rapids Police Department will once again be enrolling children with the WRPD SafeAssured ID System.

The SafeAssured ID Kits are Free for children 17 years old and under and that is made possible by the support and sponsorship from the Wood County Task Force on Child Abuse.

The WRPD has enrolled over 1,700 children with our SafeAssured ID system. It has given us a terrific opportunity to meet so many families who want to have the tools to help keep their children safe.

What is a SafeAssured ID Kit?
SafeAssured ID provides peace of mind for families while protecting their privacy. The high-tech SafeAssured Mini-CD offers a single storehouse of information containing the following details:
Up to ten digital fingerprints
Digital photograph
Streaming video showing mannerisms and gait
Voice track providing the youth’s voice inflection and accent
General physical description
Vital personal information (street address, date of birth, life-
threatening medical conditions, identifying scars, and marks)
Family code word
Ability to create missing person posters from the Mini-CD
All in a professional kit given to the parent
(No information is stored with the WRPD)
*A Parent or Guardian must complete the enrollment form.

Print and Complete the SafeAssured ID Enrollment form (PDF format) before you arrive, and bring it with you to the event. Seriously, this will save you a lot of time if you have more than one child.
