On April 13, 2014 at approximately 4:07 a.m., the Los Banos Police Department responded to a shooting in the 400 Block of L Street. Sergeant Jesus Parras arrived and located two adult females running from the area asking for help. A third male victim was found a few blocks away suffering from two gunshot wounds.
The victims reported they were sitting in a vehicle when two males approached making gang related comments. One of the suspects discharged a firearm into their vehicle, striking the male victim. The suspects were last seen running from the area and have not been located.
“At this point it’s early in the investigation but we are looking into the possibility that the victims and the suspects know each other. We don’t believe this was a random act.”
